Zero waste coffee delivery<\/strong><\/p>

In 2019, a Zero-waste coffee delivery programme was launched, i.e. packaging-free coffee delivery to companies and specialised shops. This programme is based on returnable packaging and operates in the Bratislava region. It has been successfully used, for example, by Tatra banka, the Office of the President of the Slovak Republic, Profesia, Predaj\u0148a U V\u00e1\u017eky, etc. We would like to launch it in Hungary in the future.<\/p>

Production process and direct supply chain<\/strong><\/p>

The company is a direct manufacturer. This means that the coffee you enjoy is roasted in Modra and comes directly from there to our warehouse, which significantly shortens the supply chain and prevents many carbon monoxide emissions, with a positive impact on our carbon footprint.<\/p>

Efficient production technologies<\/strong><\/p>

Our coffees are roasted on the latest, state-of-the-art roasters from Dutch roaster Giesen. The equipment is very energy efficient and uses the fuel source - propane - efficiently. Propane is not only efficient (higher octane), it is also cleaner (minimal sulphur content) and produces almost no emissions during combustion. In addition, our roasting system also uses an afterburner - a gas burner that is an important ecological element in the whole production process.<\/p>

Waste management<\/strong><\/p>

We separate all waste in our company. Where possible, we find other uses for waste. We reuse jute bags (decoration, gardening), coffee waste - bags (manure), shells from roasting (manure).<\/p>

Coffee supply and quality<\/strong><\/p>

Our roasters offer only the highest quality coffee - Coffee Specialities. This quality represents less than 10% of the world's production. In addition to strict growing\/agricultural criteria, human rights are respected and no child labour is used in the growing and processing of our coffee.<\/em><\/strong> All farmers are paid fairly for their work and the coffee beans they harvest. A significant proportion of our coffees are organic, although many are not officially certified due to the financial difficulties of certification, which farmers cannot afford.<\/p>

UGANDA project<\/strong><\/p>

It's about helping local people in the Kiyebe region - by providing jobs, basic living conditions such as water, regular medical visits and educational facilities. We have purchased 4 hectares of previously unused land, planted coffee trees, cared for them and built a small farm that will provide jobs for more people, support their families and the community as a whole. We are currently planting an additional two hectares. The first virgin coffee tree will be harvested this year in 2023. We roast the coffee at EBENICA COFFEE and sell it to our customers. Proceeds from the sale of coffee in Uganda are used to expand the farm and improve the quality of life for local residents.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

We are committed to protecting the environment. Our zero-waste coffee delivery programme is a packaging-free delivery service, using returnable packaging.
